Published Aug 24, 2020JoJo has cut Tory Lanez from the deluxe edition of her 2020 album Good to Know after Megan Thee Stallion claimed that it was the Canadian rapper that shot her in the foot back in July.
In a tweet posted over the weekend, the artist born Joanna Levesque responded to a rumour that she had removed Lanez's feature on the track titled "Comeback," confirming the move publicly.
"Def took him TF off," she wrote. "What's right is right. Period."
The same day, Levesque also replied to a fan who suggested she replace Lanez's feature with a verse by Megan, stating, "I mean… she would fucking KILL IT." The record is scheduled to arrive this Friday (August 28).
Last week, Megan Thee Stallion took to Instagram Live to confirm allegations that Lanez shot her. The "WAP" hitmaker explained that she didn't initially report the shooting to police because of ongoing issues with race-based police brutality in the U.S.
She explained: "You want me to tell the law we got a gun in the car so they can shoot all of us up?"
In July, it was announced that the LAPD were formally investigating the allegations against Lanez. So far, it remains unclear if Megan's comments will play a role in the investigation. Lanez has yet to be charged for shooting Megan, but was arrested on a concealed weapons charge because of the incident.
