Eminem Confronts a Home Intruder in Quarantine: Report
So much for social distancing
Published Apr 30, 2020Having recently made headlines for helping out Detroit frontline workers, Eminem is back in the news for reportedly coming face to face with a home intruder in quarantine.
TMZ reports that the break-in happened earlier this month around 4 a.m. at the rapper's Detroit area home. Law enforcement tells the site that suspect Matthew David Hughes, 26, used a paving stone to break a back window to enter the house.
The site reports that Eminem was awoken by an alarm and got up to confront Hughes in his living room. His security detail, who had been at the front of the property, soon leapt into action after the rapper called for help.
The security team held the suspect until police arrived. TMZ reports that Hughes was taken into custody and was charged with first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of a building.
Eminem released his Music to Be Murdered By album earlier this year. He also contributed to a new album from Jessie Reyez.
