John Lydon Is Pissed About Danny Boyle's Sex Pistols TV Show
Danny Boyle's new Sex Pistols series, Pistol, is coming to FX later this year. The six-episode series has some fans buzzing, but there's one person who isn't too keen on it: Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon.

In a new interview with the Sunday Times, Lydon called the upcoming TV series "the most disrespectful shit I've ever had to endure."

He said that Boyle and co. did not contact him regarding the series despite having met when Boyle worked on the 2012 London Olympics.

"I mean, they went to the point to hire an actor to play me but what's the actor working on?" he said. "Certainly not my character. It can't go anywhere else [but court]."

Lydon continued: "Sorry, you think you can do this, like walk all over me — it isn't going to happen. Not without a huge, enormous fucking fight. I'm Johnny, you know, and when you interfere with my business you're going to get the bitter end of my business as a result. It's a disgrace."

The Sunday Times reached out to Boyle, who did not comment. But a representative from the production team said they reached out to Lydon and "direct contact was declined."

Pistol will star Thomas-Brodie Sangster as Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren, Tallulah Riley as Vivienne Westwood, Christian Lees as Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock, Iris Law as Soo Catwoman, Toby Wallace as Steve Jones, Anson Boon as Johnny Rotten, Louis Partridge as Sid Vicious and Jacob Slater as Paul Cook.
